Kathryn Gannon has said she wants to put her life as porn actress Marylin Star behind her. But, first, that life may be helping with her legal defense in the insider-trading scandal in which she's now a key figure: VideoTeam plans to release an anthology, Marylin Whips Wall Street, by Feb. 24.
The anthology will feature choice scenes from several films, including Starflash, Fantasies of Marylin, Unchained Marylin, Star Attraction, Seduction of Marylin, XXX Channel, and Cirque de Sex II.
VideoTeam publicist Zach Gordon tells AVN On The Net the company hopes the anthology sells well enough to make a difference. "Both for raising the money and for us," he says. "We'll do well and she'll do well, too."
Gannon is still in seclusion at this writing in the Vancouver apartment of her fiance, Michael Gillies. She's wanted in the United States for insider trading, in a case in which she's accused of receiving advance bank merger tips from investment banker James McDermott, then her boyfriend. She's accused of buying and selling stock based on those tips for an over $80,000 profit, and passing the tips along to industrialist Anthony Pomponio who also made over $80,000 trading on the information.
McDermott and Pomponio are each free on bond and have pleaded not guilty in the case. Gannon was indicted formally in January but has yet to return to the U.S., but through her friend, Adult Press Service president Marc Medoff, she has maintained she was victimized by Wall Street power brokers and players.
