"We wanted to make sure we did it right." VCA Xplicit honcho Harry Weiss is talking about his new comp lines.
"We run the disclaimer and the safe-sex promo like we always do, then there are no phone sex ads, no crap. We're putting 15 to 17 scenes in each two-and-a-half hour tape."
Weiss is drawing on VCA's sizable library of footage, which has never been compiled under the VCA name or sold to other companies, so "it hasn't been in comps before."
The tapes are recorded in SP speed for maximum quality, and the same scene will not be put in more than one comp. "We're going to do our best," Weiss promises. "Sometimes it's difficult to be sure."
The tapes will be offered under the umbrella title Peepshow for hetero, she-male and bisexual tapes, and Glory Holes for gay male. The Glory Holes titles feature masculine, steel-toned box art. "Gay guys are good customers: They pay more for their tapes, and we don't want to insult them by putting out poor quality material, and that starts with the box cover," according to Weiss.
The first Peepshow titles, She-Male Fuck Sluts and Buttfucking Babes, are available now. The new comps carry the "If it's on the box, it's in the tape" guarantee. "If anybody is not happy, they can return the tape to us. We're not going to let poor quality happen."
And look for some surprises: "After we put together She-Male Fuck Sluts, we found that one of the scenes had Vanessa Del Rio in it. Vanessa Del Rio with a she-male. If I'd known that, I'd have put her on the box," Weiss chuckled.
