Utah Porn Case Questions Privacy Rights

A woman arrested last month for allegedly selling adult materials out of the back of her Earrings and More store has pitted privacy rights against set public standards.

As reported by The Spectrum, after a search warrant was issued for Susan Russell’s store, officers with the St. George Police Department found "many pornographic DVDs, VHS videos, magazines, sex toys, and material that were being distributed from that store," according to police reports.

Russell was charged with 15 counts of third-degree felony distribution of pornographic material.

The case is being prosecuted by the County Attorney, and if Russell's case goes in front of a jury, prosecuting attorney Ryan Shaum told The Spectrum that the issue could be a muddy one.
