Ugly George to Take to the Streets Again

Amateur softcore pornographer Ugly George is set to take to the streets again. The popular cult figure told AVN.com that he plans on gathering some new material for a set of compilation DVDs. “Distributors have contacted me recently,” said George. “And they want to combine some of my stuff from the present with my older stuff. It will be a combination of new and old stuff.” George said that he looks forward to capturing some new amateur footage that sticks to his policy of keeping things unstaged.

“Now you have hundreds of imitators prowling the streets looking for women,” George said. “But none of that is real…it’s all staged. I’ve always had real footage.” George said this is how he gained a reputation. “People appreciated the fact that I’ve always had real footage.”

Ugly George, a public figure in New York City, was famed for roaming Manhattan in search of woman in the 1970’s and 80’s while wearing an open-chested silver suit and back pack full of camera gear. George approached women on the street in an attempt to coaxing them into taking off their clothes. George told AVN.com that this was the first amateur footage of its kind.

George furthered his reputation and cult status by compiling this footage into what he called his “hits and misses” for a late night public-access show in New York called “The Ugly George Hour of Truth, Sex and Violence.” The show didn’t go off the air until the early 90’s.

“None of the girls would initially say ‘yes,’ but I could sense a little hesitation in some of them…and those would be the girls that I would convince.”

George combined this footage with excerpts of celebrities and politicians saying irreverent things to him. “I could approach them, and they who I was, so often they’d say some funny stuff.”

Recently, George was photographed with Andrew Cuomo, son of former New York Governor, Mario Cuomo. The photograph gained a considerable amount of visibility in the New York Daily News’ online blog. George told AVN.com that he was contacted by Cuomo’s people for the photo op. “This was great publicity for Cuomo,” said George. “He got a ton of visibility for his campaign for Attorney General.”

“I am not your average pornographer,” said George. “When you help prosecutors get elected, they treat you differently…they don’t persecute you.”
