Two Texas Strippers Face Life In Rival's Murder

What police here call a longtime feud has ended with two exotic dancers pleading guilty to killing a fellow dancer and friend and facing bars other than where they performed - as in, life behind bars.

Arlene Prince, Marla Duran, and Tishia Latina Holmes had worked at the Red Parrot club until two weeks ago, when Holmes quit to work at the Prince Machiavelli Lounge. On the night of April 8, Holmes's boyfriend found her dead in her apartment. Police say she had been killed earlier that day.

Prince and Duran, who live in the same apartment complex, were arrested April 10. Police say there had been signs of a struggle and an autopsy showed Holmes was strangled to death.

The two had given interviews to local television, but police became suspicious of their stories, according to APBNews. They told the crime news service probing further and talking to others showed enough inconsistencies to bring Prince and Duran back for more questioning, which resulted in them admitting to the crime and leading police to buried evidence.

There's no word yet on when they will be sentenced, but Prince and Duran are in jail on $250,000 bond each.
