LOS ANGELES—Lesbian studio Triangle Films has announced that it will handle its own distribution effective today.
Sales vet Tom Deniro will oversee this new facet of the company's operation. The first two titles Triangle will self-distribute are Tribade Sorority: House Rules, streeting Dec. 21, and River Rock Women's Prison—the company's first full feature—scheduled to release Jan. 25, 2010.
"They have a great product, and with River Rock coming out in January, it's really going to put them on the map as filmmakers," said Deniro, who has previously handled sales at both SMG Video and Ninn Worx_SR. "They have a solid line and justice hasn't been done to it, and really we want to try to be one of the leaders in the girl/girl genre coming up in 2010."
Kathryn Annelle, Triangle co-owner and director, commented, "We're very excited about this new venture for Triangle Films. We think that with Tom Deniro's past work at SMG and Ninn Worx, he'll be an excellent compliment to our studio."
Deniro may be reached for sales inquiries at (818) 782-6944 or [email protected].
