Travis Nestor Leaves Marketing Position at Vivid, Bobby Fresh Takes Reins

– Travis Nestor told AVN.com he is leaving his position in marketing and promotions for Vivid Entertainment Group to pursue other ventures. The company has hired Bobby Fresh to replace him.

"The time has come. I'm going to miss this place incredibly. They've been my family," Nestor, who has been with the company for four years, said Wednesday. "The little baby bird has left the nest."

Nestor did promotions for three years and spent a year in production among other duties.

"The only thing I didn’t do was edit," he said.

Nestor compared moving on from Vivid to graduating.

"It was great to learn from the best — Steven Hirsch, Bill Asher and Marci Hirsch. I look at it like I just graduated from Harvard. Marci's my second mom. You build friendships," Nestor said. "I'm sad to be leaving. But at the same time I'm excited about what's coming up."

Nestor told AVN.com he would be joining forces with T.J. DiReda, the former director of marketing and publicity for Vivid who left in December, on new business ventures.

"I'm really excited to get the team back together," Nestor said. "I think we're an unstoppable team. He's like my big brother."

Meanwhile, Fresh is the new director of marketing and publicity for the company.

Fresh brings several years of mainstream experience to the job and has also assisted Vivid with several promotions during the past year.

"I worked closely with them, coordinating talent and visual stuff," Fresh, who is also an artist, told AVN.com Wednesday.

Nestor added, "He helped with a lot of our events, made 'em look beautiful."

Fresh published a Chicago-based, dance music magazine called Thousand Words for six years before selling it.

"It's kind of interesting to work on the other side and try to get press," Fresh said. "I just wanted to try something new and different."

Fresh also has a significant background in lighting and production.

"I'm really going to take a different approach with the whole event thing. The next Vivid event will definitely be different," he said.
