Transaction Processing Program Launched: EmpireDRM

A distribution and online transaction processing partners program has been launched by EmpireDRM, whose specialty is providing Windows Media Digital Rights Management solutions.

"Distribution partners offer Empire DRM as a preferred digital rights management service to customers searching for a total solution package, from hosting to enhanced delivery services to content management and protection," EmpireDRM said in a June 11 announcement. "EmpireDRM has already successfully been integrated into several entertainment industry distribution provider contracts."

The company's PITBOS transaction process software – which they say monitors online transactions and guarantees vendor billing information gets to the right processor – gives content providers the tools to integrate into any existing merchant account or credit processing solution, Empire said, and its simple usage means content owners don't have to generate coding to integrate separate billing processing each time they nail a sale.

The distribution partners program has already brought in Jibe Inc., Limelight Networks, Speedera Networks, and VitalStream. Transaction partners, Empire said, include InterCept Payment (the former iBill), Jettis, and Paycom.

"These robust business partnerships align EmpireDRM with other World Class business organizations who understand the vital role that digital rights management plays in the ultimate protection and security of all types of entertainment and enterprise content," said Empire chief executive officer John Couvrette.
