Topless Teen Footage Provokes Guy Game Suit

A woman who says she was 17 years old when photographed during a spring break has sued the makers and publishers of The Guy Game, saying she was legally incapable of consenting to appear in the interactive game, topless or not.

A Travis County Court judge hearing the case handed down a temporary restraining order blocking sale of the game December 21.

The suit targets publisher Take 2 Interactive – where The Guy Game could be seen with the woman’s image on its official Web site – as well as Microsoft and Sony, the latter two because the game has been available for Xbox and PlayStation 2, with a personal computer version scheduled to ship December 21.

The Guy Game’s developer, Top Heavy Studios, was also named in the lawsuit.

The interactive trivia game which features binge-drinking games includes footage of what have been described as topless, Girls Gone Wild-like young women as rewards for correct answers. “[P]eople were less surprised by the fact that the game was picked up by Take 2 Interactive,” said GameSpot.com, “than by the fact that the racy game dodged an adults-only rating.”
