Tony Eveready Gets 6 Years in Prison for Drug, Gun Possession

LOS ANGELES - The L.A. Daily News reports that porn actor Tony Eveready was sentenced Tuesday to more than six years in federal prison for gun and cocaine possession.

The report states:

"A federal jury indicted parolee Duane Reed Moore, 37, of Winnetka in October, three months after Los Angeles police officers stopped him along Haskell Avenue for not having license plates on his Chrysler sedan, according to court documents.

During a three-day trial, officers testified that they searched inside Moore's car and found a collapsible baton, a loaded semiautomatic and another handgun. Moore, who was with his girlfriend at the time, told police he used the guns as a prop for adult movies.

He was also carrying nearly four grams of cocaine in seven small Ziploc bags and $389.

He told them he sold the drugs when his work in porn was slow, police said.

In May, Moore pleaded guilty to being a felon in possession of a firearm. A jury later acquitted him of charges of drug-dealing but convicted him of cocaine possession. He was on parole for spousal abuse."
