CHATSWORTH, Calif. - "A! Entertainment" host Tony Batman will move his show from Prime Time Uncensored to the KSEX airwaves, beginning on Tuesday. The show will now fill the Tuesday and Thursday, 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. programming slot in the revamped KSEX schedule.
"It was very much an amicable split," Batman told AVN.com of his departure from Prime Time Uncensored. "With things shaking up at KSEX and new positions opening up, I just thought it made good business sense to go back there. But Prime Time Uncensored has been great, and the viewership for my show has actually grown.
"I began my Los Angeles broadcasting career at KSEX and I'm proud to be able to bring 'A! Entertainment' back here, with all of the significant changes that Ultimate Entertainment is planning for the station. No matter how much effort my team of creative people and I put into creating and developing the show's format to appeal to a broad viewing audience, I still missed my KSEX family. It will be great to bring all of us together."
Batman explained that his show will still focus on giving the audience an insider's look at the adult industry. He will continue his on-set and behind the scenes coverage, as well as offering maintaining show segments like "Topless DVD Review with Regan Anthony," "Where's Your Favorite Porn Star" and The EMM Report.
Batman will also bring along his regular co-host Candy Manson, "Candy is making the move with me. Right now, I'm just getting together with everyone on the team and working on tightening up the production of my show, so it will maintain the quality that my audience has come to expect from A! Entertainment."
"I've known Tony for about five years, working with him in different aspects of the adult industry," said KSEX Marketing Director and Vice President, Joe Brandi. "Everyone at Ultimate Entertainment discussed what he has been doing with 'A! Entertainment' and Tony agreed that the new management style Ultimate was bringing to KSEX put us in a position to support his show along to where he'd ultimately like to take it. KSEX needs a strong show to present to our audience in the Tuesday and Thursday heavy traffic slots, and Tony has a track record showing he can fulfill that exact requirement for the station's restructuring. We're very happy that Tony accepted our offer to return to KSEX."
Batman's return follows the station's controversial split with Wayne C. Lewis (a.k.a. Wankus), who issued an official statement about his departure this week on his website.
KSEX's nightly broadcast is available through a free audio stream, as well as a members' video stream through KSEX.com. KSEX's video stream is also available to CAMZ.com members as part of their paid programming options.
