Marc Star writes: "Judging by the tone of Ford's post today, it seems the pressure is chipping him away. He sounds more disjointed and irate each passing day. I'll be more than happy to be a character witness when his irresponsible practice draws him before the judge."

Quasarman writes: "Hi Gene: In conjunction with SMS promotions XXX-treme vacation in Mexico, METRO home video will be shooting an abundance of product. We need girls and lots of them. The dates are October 16th to the 23rd. If an all expense paid week in the Mexican sun having sex on video for money sounds like a good time to you, please contact Metro at (818) 988-1067 EXT#116. Leave a message with your name and number and myself or Michael Adams will call you back. Girls with special talents (anal, D.P, Deep throating a poisonous snake etc.) are especially encouraged to call.

P.S. Boyfriends/husbands/managers/psychic advisors will accompany girls at their OWN EXPENSE.

Quasarman had this to say in a follow-up interview.

Quasarman: "We need so many people. There's so much involved because of the grand scheme Greg [Alves] has envisioned for us. We probably want between 35 and 40 girls. That's a ballpark figure. We're going to try and shoot 60 scenes for videos, and James Avalon will be there shooting his grandiose epics, so he'll also need talent. For the talent it'll probably will be fun. For me it's going to suck. I'll be staring at genitals 24 hours a day for eight days instead of the ocean with a cocktail in my hands. Guy's got to make a living. Greg wants to shoot 10 gonzo-type shows, and James Avalon will shoot what he shoots. We want to get started getting people on board and know who we can rely on."

If you can form a mental picture of this: Gabor from Sterling/Heatwave and Kid Vegas were having a brainstorming session yesterday afternoon that had to do with shooting a midget bukkake video.

Dr. Suzy & Dr. Laura Face Off in Celebrity Sleuth

Pick up the July issue of Celebrity Sleuth (now on newstands, later on the net) for "Pair O'Docs," uncovering "feuding Ph.D. therapists" Dr. Susan Block and Dr. Laura Schlessinger in an eight-page spread/review. Though the Sleuth usually strives to maintain neutrality, in this particular doctoral-philosophical duel, it comes out strongly against Dr. Laura's "strident…cruel and bullying" approach to sex and relationships, and firmly on the side of Dr. Suzy's "sensual spirit…modern philosophy of Ethical Hedonism and hatred of hypocrisy."

Andrew Steele writes: "Dear Gene, I have got to thank you for printing my letter on. The Lisa Lipps interview will be my first industry interview. I'm doing this whole radio program the old d.I.y way, all by myself. The radio biz is tough. Getting up there With Howard Stern is going to be a huge climb, but I will not stop. One day maybe I will be able to attend an industry function and shake hands with the people that I read about. I hope to do a ton if these interviews and force big market program directors to take a look at me. I have already raised the night ratings of WCLG-FM from an 8 share to a 26 in just two ratings periods. Once again thank you.

Andrew Drake writes: " Gene I don't know what your feeling are or whether it has even crossed your mind. Eyes Wide Shut - Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman take on Pam and Tommy Lee' home video is clearly a porn flick. I was able to view an editors cut and what I got from it was a married couple F_ _King in front of the camera......Porn! I wonder what any of the other members of the Porn community feel of this.

Gene sez: I feel this way - any chance you get to see Nicole Kidman naked, take it. Evidently, Warner Bros. feels another way as the following news from MSNBC indicates:

Quote: "Don't be surprised if you hear mostly nice things about Tom Cruise in connection with 'Eyes Wide Shut.' At a recent junket promoting the movie, the star's publicist insisted that all reporters granted access to the star had to sign contracts that gave the publicist control over what the reporters could say about Cruise - and when they could say it."

According to MSNBC, PMK, the public relations firm that represents Cruise, as well as many of Hollywood's other top stars asked reporters to sign a contract giving PMK the right to view - and veto - any TV segments on Cruise before they aired. It also required that the footage could be used only in connection with the film and that any unused footage from the interviews had to be destroyed.

The contract also stipulated, according to MSNBC, that "the interview and the program will not show the artist in a negative or derogatory manner." One source said, "Well, if Warner Brothers paid for the junket, why should they pay for bad publicity?"

$1 Awarded in Strip Search Case

According to the Boston Herald, a jury awarded $1 to Jennifer Ciulla in her fabled strip-search lawsuit against the Gloucester, Massachusettes police department. Ciulla, as you may recall, is the woman who said her life was ruined when Gloucester police arrested and allegedly strip-searched her.

Ciulla, 28, a former beauty contest winner, alleged a leering police lieutenant ordered her strip-searched after arresting her for a traffic violation, claimed the ordeal was so horrific she suffered post-traumatic stress disorder and could no longer have sex with her husband.

Ciulla also claimed the officer, Lt. Miles Rigny, peeked through a window in the jail cell while she was being searched.

A jury in U.S. District Court deliberated just a few hours Tuesday before deciding Ciulla wasn't telling the truth. The panel found that the Gloucester police matron, Genevieve Linsky Whaley - who admitted doing the search but denied removing Ciulla's undergarments - should not have inspected her in a room with a view.

The jury however did not find that anyone actually watched. Or that either Rigny nor Whaley inflicted any emotional harm. The jury awarded no compensatory damages and only $1 in punitive damages.

``They believed nothing she said,'' said Leonard Kesten, the police officers' lawyer.

``The jury saw through this web of lies. This was nothing but an attempt to destroy the careers of two people and to extort money from the city of Gloucester.''

Kesten said the defendants will file suit this week against Ciulla and her husband, Lawrence, for ``fabricating this story in a pathetic attempt to get rich. ``We're not going to pay the dollar,'' he added.

During the trial, Ciulla tearily recounted how she was stopped Aug. 25, 1996, as she was driving home to Gloucester from New Hampshire in her small red sports car.

She was wearing bicycle shorts and a tight spandex top and Rigny ogled her, she claimed.

``She's an attractive woman, a former beauty queen,'' said her lawyer, Robert Cohan, in closing arguments. ``He [Rigny] was having a good time. Rigny said, `We should get to know each other.' The situation is charged with sexuality.''

Later at the police station, Rigny hung around, Cohan charged, after Ciulla was booked - long after he needed to be there.

``There is not one single officer who will testify he was with Rigny - because he was alone. He was there watching her,'' Cohan said.

The search, he said, was illegal even according to Whaley, who admitted asking Ciulla to pull her bikini top away to let any hidden weapons or drugs fall away. Even that, he said, is unconstitutional.

Ginger Lynn the Interview

Industry icon Ginger Lynn was signing autographs at the VCA Summer expo booth, promoting her upcoming VCA feature Torn, when we approached her about the rumor that she had a new "feller" in her life.

G. Ross: "I heard a rumor."

Lynn: "You heard a rumor?"

G. Ross: "I heard you're romancing a feller."

Lynn: "I AM romancing a feller...where did you hear this rumor?"

G. Ross: "I hear things. I keep my ears to the ground."

Lynn [laughing]: "I'm happy to say that I'm in love, and it couldn't be worse timing. You wait for the right person...not that I was necessarily waiting, but I was hoping for...but as soon as I decided I was going to make a comeback in adult films, it was time to do it - my mainstream career is going well - I can fuck AND act, simultaneously at times, then I'll be damned if three weeks later I don't meet someone. It was intended as a fuck. I've been with my female lover for weeks and weeks and weeks, and I just needed a man. It was a blind date. We had no intentions other than having fabulous sex. Which we did. It just clicked. Part of it is because, we had no pressures whatsoever. We knew what we were there to do. There was this no pretending to be anything other than what we are. And we fell in love...aaagh! VOMIT!! No, it's wonderful!! It's such a great feeling.

G. Ross: "The other rumor is that you're having second thoughts about some things."

Lynn: "I love pornography. It's been an incredibly wonderful part of my life and my career. I've had a blast. I enjoy everything I do. There is this part of me, why did I fall in love now? But I have a commitment. If a man can't handle what I'm doing today, he won't be able to handle what I've done in the past. That's a part of me that's not going to go away and I don't want it to. I'm here. I'm sticking around.

"I scouted things out before making a decision to come back. I just didn't want to walk on a movie set where the egos were bigger than their passions. If I'm going to have sex on film, I want to have a good time. I want to be with somebody who enjoys what they're doing. I talked to VCA, I talked to Vivid, I talked to Wicked. I went to Jim South and put the word out what I wanted to do. I had a lot of different phone calls. I took probably eight months to a year to make my decision, and VCA seemed like the natural choice. I love Janey {Hamilton]. She was a huge influence. The fact that I was able to do my first film back with a female director who I respect and admire is a big bonus. I think Janey's the first film director I've ever worked with. Janey and I worked on a mainstream film together about ten years ago. Then's when I first met her. It was called Cleo and Leo. She's a brilliant actress and everything seemed to click.

G.Ross: "What are your plans after Torn?"

Lynn: "I'll be filming again sometime in October. This one will be more of a thriller or a suspense-type of a film. The story is outlined at this point, and I'm working with my writers. I don't know if VCA wants me to divulge the storyline. But it'll be a suspense thriller..."

G. Ross: "Like Vice Academy..."

Lynn [laughing]: "Those were so bad, they were good. What's fun about my comeback, when I left with Vivid I was able to co-produce, co-write and have a lot of involvement, and with VCA I have that and much more. So I'm able to live out my fantasies, create characters that are fun and interesting."

G. Ross: "Your ultimate fantasy would be to have sex while you're cooking?"

Lynn: "I love cooking, I'll admit it. The heat from the stove and the heat from sex don't really mix. I don't want to get burned. Those are two completely different passions. I'm the kind of cook if I have an orange an egg and a jalapeno pepper, I'll come up with the most incredible dish you've ever had. I have my classics. I like a lot of sauces."

G. Ross: "I bet you watch the cooking channel."

Lynn: "I do watch the cooking channel..I love to cook. It's my therapy. When I come home after a hard day of fucking I want to get in that kitchen. It just brings me back to normalcy and reality. Whatever that is.

"I don't know what a normal fantasy is. I have my preferences and sexual turn-ons. One of the scenes in Torn - I have three men, a double penetration and a cock-sucking bout at the same time. It was just wonderful. In real life I find it very rare to say, would you three like to come home, we'll have a double-penetration and I'm going to suck your cock. Most men are not that open-minded. I'd be inclined to do that off-camera if there were the right people.

"I was involved in all aspects of this film including writing. On paper things looked wonderful. On paper each scene was a fantasy that I wanted to live out. We didn't shoot in chronological order, so the first scene we're filming is a scene where I'm on an airplane. Juli Ashton is the flight attendant. Sean Michaels is my partner-in-crime in the seating assignment area. It starts out as a masturbation scene, and Sean begins masturbating, and I accidentally suck his cock. It was there. It was beautiful. I had to. It was kind of a mutual masturbation thing, then a big butt plug by Juli got the anal-thing going. Juli's doing me. I look back behind the scene, and the valet guy from my favorite restaurant is sitting behind me. When I wrote it I wasn't visualizing all the people sitting in the plane. Half these people were the press, and I was scared to death, I was so nervous, but once I got lost in the sex I was fine. But every once in awhile I'd look up and see someone I knew from here or there watching. What did come out of it that I was happy about was that it brought me back to the newness I had 15 years ago. It was all brand new again. I felt like I had never had sex, not just on film, period. The freshness, and the innocence and vulnerability and passion all kind of came together.

Lynn was asked why she dropped out of the business the first time. At the height of her career she was the first Vivid contract girl.

Lynn: "I did so many films, for me, so many films - 69 films in two years - I did 69 ACTUAL films. Yes, I did loops, I did compilations, yes there are some films that are the same films with two different titles, but 69 films. I always woke up in the morning before I was ready to film excited that I was going to do this today. It was something I looked forward to.

"I actually helped Vivid to form a lot of their ideas. We worked very closely together. It was a very good experience. I think I might have been THE first contract girl in the business. I had a lot of fun. I chose not to go back to Vivid for several reasons, which was not part of the question, but I'll answer it anyway.. One of them was with them before I was Vivid. I don't want to get lost in a bevy of beauties. I think that I stand well on my own. Though VCA has contract girls, each of them is an individual. They're not VCA girls. They are stars themselves. I like sex. VCA seems to have more storyline and more real sex than Vivid does. Vivid has drop dead gorgeous girls. Some of them enjoy sex. Some of them are seen where no one touches them.

Then when day I woke up and said, God I have to give so and so a blowjob. I realized at that moment that it was time for me to move on. When blowjobs become a chore it's time to stop for awhile. I never wanted my films to become a chore. Lack of passion was one of the reasons, another was I THOUGHT I was in love. And AIDS had just become an issue. I also thought I had done as much as I could do in adult films.

"I wanted to expand my non-sexual acting career. I'm still doing mainstream..I almost feel I have a point to prove. I can fuck on film AND I can act. Why not do both and not just in adult films. The director of my most upcoming mainstream film is Steve Kessler. It's called The Independent. It's coming out in the fall. It stars Janeane Garofalo and Jerry Stiller. I have main title billing. All my scenes are with Janeane and Jerry. I'm not naked once. I spoke with the director after I had done the adult film [Torn] and he said there's no reason why I can't do mainstream and adult, you're a fine actress, go for it. The directors who won't hire me for mainstream films, it's not going to make a difference if I did an adult film 13 days ago or 13 years ago.

"Most of my work is referral work. I did a movie last December which is called the Last Late Night. I think we have a screening the end of this month. Hopfefully, I'll be the first person who will be actively making both types of films. We'll see.

"I don't see myself as a comedienne, though I look pretty funny in the morning when I wake up. I do a lot of comedy. I've been told I have a good sense of comedic timing. I enjoy doing comedy. I see a lot of humor in life, especially mine.

"Indigo Moods," Bruce's final project releases on videocassette in Adam & Eve's August catalog and will air in September on the Spice Channel. It's only fitting that it should be an ethnic/black show - Bruce and I first connected when I saw all the old soul music concert posters in his office...we always shared our enjoyment of African=American culture and a vehement dislike of institutionalized racism.

Marilyn Chambers who was parked at the VCA booth signing autographs at the Summer Expo last week proves she's Still Insatiable which also happens to be the title of her upcoming feature for VCA. Chambers had made comments that she wasn't going to come back into the adult business because of the potential health risk aspects but has, evidently, changed her mind. She was asked what sealed the deal.

Chambers: "There were about three or four factors, one of them was condoms-only. That was nice. That was music to my ears."

G. Ross: "How come I don't hear music when I say the word condoms. Do you hear like violins?"

Chambers: "A person's private life is probably way more dangerous than being in a porno film. X-rated films are pretty gosh darn safe, actually. Everyone now is taking tests and getting screened. But in your personal life you don't always ask somebody let me see your AIDS test And you don't always wear a condom. That's really stupid. The other factor was Jane Hamilton. I worked with her on an R-rated film in New York. It was Little Shop of Erotica [on the Private Screenings label]. She played a gypsy lady or something. She's a really good actress, she knows her lines and we did a lot of crazy things together.

"I hadn't really been following X-rated films, and she told me she was directing. I don't know how it all happened, but I went to see Russell [Hampshire] and he was another factor. He's one of the guys in this business who's very special. He's one in a million. Someone like him is very difficult to find. I like him and he really takes care of you. I had never been in that position before. I've been screwed and ripped off by companies that I owned half of. I was kicked out of my own company [Creative Image Video]. It got ugly. It put a bad taste in my mouth and that was one of the reasons why I walked away from the business. That, besides the fact that I have a daughter....hey honey, your mom's in porno films. But she'll get over it."

Chambers mentions that she's a single mom.

"Another reason for my coming back is that I felt strongly about the fact that there's not a lot of older women in erotic films. I'm 47. The breasts are, you know, you have to pull the tummy in sometimes, things are sagging and there's some wrinkles. But the thing about it is, I feel that the woman who are over 30 can still be sexy plus your brain is really more into that side of sex and you know what makes you feel good. Sexually, what makes me feel good is making somebody else feel good. I enjoy that part of it. There's a certain personal thing that's achieved in intimacy rather than being in a one-night stand. I've also learned how to cum better....'mo better...yeah!"

Chambers confesses to having had some trepidations about coming to the expo

Chambers: "I thought what are they [the fans] going to think about me. Are they going to love me. When I got to the show, I had stage fright. I freaked. But after an hour it was okay. I thought maybe there was too many high expectations of me, and I would disappoint someone, it dawned on me that maybe I wouldn't live up to my rigamarole."

Chambers has signed on for two more films. "Hopefully Jane will direct those....two films over a two-year period," she notes. "I had't realized that some of these girls are doing 70, 80 films a year. That too me is something I can't imagine. In my career I've done six hardcore films. I remember every one of them like it was yesterday. It's not like, oh gee, I forget what that one was. Still Insatiable is actually the first feature I've shot on video. It was something I was afraid to do." [Chambers still maintains her deal with Private Screenings and appears not so much in films like Breakfast in Bed, but what she calls "specials" or vignettes. "It's made me a good living," she says.]

Chambers: "I have a lot of other engagements. I'm going to San Francisco the end of the month and work for Jim Mitchell. I'm going to do some sex shows. I'm freaking out. Slam the doors and lock it. That's how they do it up there. They're pretty bizarre shows. I'm going to work with these twins."

G. Ross: "Speaking of bizarre, what was going through your head during the filming of Behind the Green Door?"

Chambers: "I was scared out of my mind."

G. Ross: "I was scared for you, watching it."

Chambers: "It was grueling work...I didn't want to know what was going to happen. I thought the element of surprise would get this look of shock on my face. It would be real. We smoked pot, drank beer. It was the hippy days."

G. Ross: "What was it like being an Ivory girl for two minutes?"

Chambers: "I was 16 when I shot that. The photographer, this old guy, chased me around the back room. Here I am shooting this picture for this very wholesome, 99 44/100% pure company, and here's this guy trying to fuck me. The guy was like decrepit, and I was this young high school girl on my first modeling job. I was shocked to get the job, but they bought out my contract [when Chambers' involvement with Green Door became public]. Now there's a Marilyn Chambers clause in modeling contracts."

Certainly a surprise to many of the fans at the summer expo was the appearance of Tricia Devereaux who was signing at the Evil Angel booth. Devereaux and company head John Stagliano are, as they say, an item.

Devereaux: "I'm having a good time..I'm still living in the Midwest right now, but I'm out here, temporarily for the summer. I'm giving a lot of consideration to coming back. I have a lot of things that I could be doing with my future, and I'm trying to figure out which one I'm going to be happiest doing. I'm thinking that being around Evil Angel might be something that might make me really happy.

"John [Stagliano] asked me out to dinner when I was still living here. And I'm from the same area where he grew up, about an hour away from his parents. Sometimes when he comes to visit he'll see me. I just never met anyone with the same personality so close to mine. We both like to be around people, but we like our private time. We can have intelligent conversations which is something I wasn't able to do with many people out here. I really like how creative he is. He's confident without being arrogant, and I find that very attractive. It's really nice. I appreciate him for how kind he is."

G. Ross: "Pardon the pun, but it seems like you've gone from one extreme to the other."

Devereaux: "Absolutely, but it's a welcome change. I had some good experiences in the past, but I learned a lot from them and took them with me...when I left I was doing some bondage movies, and that's something I'm very into in my private life. I don't know for sure, but if this is what I'm coming back to, I would love to do some bondage things. Not taboo things where it's bad quality productions. I can't watch that so why be a part of it. There's a few companies that I like. I wouldn't mind seeing John shoot some bondage stuff. He's really into watching that type of thing.

"I'm around the company and learning things I never knew before. I don't know whether I want to go the directing route. I don't know if I have the creativity. A lot of people are asking me why I just don't do masturbation scenes. That's a different mentality. That's just too much a part of my past. I can't be as reckless as before. I like to think I've learned a little bit."

Devereaux said fan reaction was interesting at the Expo. Many who weren't diehards didn't know who she was. "They were looking at me just for me, and that was flattering...I've been taking better care of myself, and I like how my life is going and how I've been feeling. My past fans are so good about it. I was a little afraid to come here. But they just kindly asked me how I was feeling."

Paul Thomas has a new film coming out in October which is a modern version of the Veronica Hart-Kelly Nichols-Samantha Fox classic, Roommates. Thomas says rights were bought to the title. "We completely re-did it," he says.

Thomas: "It's a story of three girls who go back to their high school reunion. I felt rather than try to compete with those three actresses and cast the best actresses around today, that wouldn't have interested me. Instead I cast three brand new actresses who have never, ever been on the screen before. They're so new I totally forgot their names. We imported them from Florida from our dance agent. They've been Playboy and Penthouse centerfolds and covergirls and Miss America this and that. They're world class girls. One we wound up signing, a Hungarian girl, who has since left. So, literally this is their only movie. Half the people in this movie have never been in a movie before. You'll see some of the most beautiful women in your life if you're willing to forego the acting expertise.

"It's like tennis, you're usually better if you've taken no lessons. It's sort of like watching Cops. The most interesting thing about this film are these new girls. One of them has the most beautiful set of large natural breasts since Christy Canyon's were over her belly button."

Galactica Galaxina returns: "Sir Ross, this is GGalaxina again,I wanted to write regarding a few things that was said and done ,this past may 1999 I had a surgery as some are aware of, and for some time I have been under going surgeries going larger, a few set backs in going large how ever its like anything even with sport figures that over train and end up pulling ripping tearing ligaments muscles so forth, to achieve something one must take it step by step it cant be done over night, that was my mistake trying to go so large over night literally,Im a samll framed girl however born nautally with but tits DDD Fcup, and when I wanted to go larger hey it is a free country last time I checked and I never adhered to this ism dogma trying to fit mainstreams ideals of what to conform to what is Acceptable have always been an out sider and go against the grain I do what I feel I choose to do, and this all natural is hey get real really meaning if one thinks about it everything's is atoms and I wont go into physics but we are that so is implants so is everything around us, and oh one was not born with implants well one was not born with clothes on either or pre tinted hair makeup implants aside so everyone should stop all cosmetic surgeries lip injections laser peels so forth come on porn stars do that all the time and every day people as well its what looks hot guys love that puffy bee stung lip look and the long hair lot of them girls have weaves, and my point is this I talked to Kevin he said he got lots of mail back from people saying right on Kevin about using me as an example for other girls not to get implants or go large so that's what this whole thing was about?,well Ill tell you something there are no scars on me just a tiny incision and Im so porcelain white perfect skin that and I heel perfectly for one I don't do drugs or drink I work out fitness gym all the time swim can do anything anyone els does and likely better gymnastics was my field growing up and stayed in excellent shape,Im getting my new implant in this month all is going well,I think the one thing females should know before getting implants is this understand that with any surgery there's risks not just implants, every time one is opened there's risk of infection, air born particles that even the best heppa filters cant filter that are so micro and depending on the Dr. and state of health all facters caome into play, I was really down may that marked my dads death and I sent the letter in not Billy it was not just implant ordeal it was a lot of tragedy going on around me with friends and family that I felt at the end of my rope with, and tried to take my life,
