It’s simple: breast cancer bad, bowling good. And, now that the 21st Anniversary Breast Cancer Awareness Month is coming upon us, the Soroptimist International of The Verdugos is hosting its 2nd Annual Bowling for Bobbies (B4B) on Thursday, Oct. 6, at Lucky Strike Bowl in Los Angeles.
Teams and participants are urged to sign up on the B4B website no later than today to take part in this exciting and competitive affair. The Go-Go's Jane Wiedlin is among guests scheduled to appear and roll the big balls.
The proceeds raised from this event help Soroptimist International of the Verdugos provide monetary assistance to local women experiencing financial challenges as the result of fighting and living with breastcancer. Donations go directly to support these women who are overwhelmed with medical bills and their ongoing treatment. This year B4B will also donate a percentage of the proceeds raised to Katrina Hurricane Relief.
