LOS ANGELES—Porn legend Rocco Siffredi takes on one of the biggest stars to emerge in recent times, 2014 AVN Female Performer of the Year Bonnie Rotten, in one of the last titles of Siffredi's performing career, Bonnie vs. Rocco, due out from Evil Angel September 2.
"Bonnie vs. Rocco is probably my biggest movie of 2015, and maybe my last big movie," Siffredi said. "Working with Bonnie is really incredible. She is really unpredictable, and you never know what is going to happen."
Shot in Budapest, BvR co-stars a cast of European performers including Mea Melone, Billie Star, Simony Diamond, Tiffany Shine and Valeria Visconti. Described in promotional materials as filled with sinister religious imagery and undertones, the movie according to Siffredi is "dark, and was shot mostly at nighttime. It's fun and surrealistic and very kinky."
Rotten gave AVN a more unabashedly superlative take on the movie, calling it "epic" and recounting, "We caught a girl on fire in a coffin ... it was crazy. I had worked with Rocco a couple times before, and I loved working with him, we had great chemistry, we did epic scenes together, and I had actually reached out to him because I was in Europe at the time and I wanted to shoot with him. So we came up with the idea to do Rocco vs. Bonnie."
After a brief beat, she exclaimed, "I won!"
Reflecting on what it means to her to be one of Siffredi's last on-screen partners, Rotten said, "Well it was definitely surprising to see Rocco's annoucement about retirement, but I can have a lot of respect for that because I have met his wife, I have met their kids, and I do understand the situation. He has a lot of love for his family, and at a certain point, that may be the decision that he needed to make. But it's really awesome to be one of the last girls to shoot with him and do a big movie."
