'Tis The Season To Scream: Ivan Returns To His Roots

LOS ANGELES, CA—Just in time for Halloween, award-winning adult and mainstream director Ivan is making his long-awaited return to one of his favorite genres, horror. In a move that is sure to delight fans, Ivan has announced that he will begin shooting the long awaited next chapter in his Roadside Killer saga.

Ivan has spent the last several years shooting adult content for Puba. He has been racking up accolades and award nominations for both his technical skills and his ability to make some of the hottest women in the industry even hotter. No stranger to horror, Ivan has had success combining his passion for horror and porn, with titles such as Dawn of the Head and Texas Asshole Massacre.

The highly successful Texas Asshole Massacre earned Ivan AVN Awards nominations for Best Comedy and Best Director. It is currently ranked at number six on Gamelink's list of top horror-porn efforts. The groundbreaking Dawn of the Head was nominated by AVN for Best Comedy as well. Both movies combine hot XXX action, horror and more than a share of comedy. It is no surprise to see Ivan's mainstream efforts also blending good scares with laughs.

Ivan's recent adult ventures have included popular and critically acclaimed efforts. His SeXXXpploitation of Dani Daniels earned him a nomination from AVN for Best Movie, Best Director and Best Editing. A follow up, SeXXXploitation of Romi Rain just hit stores this month.

Ivan's return to horror will also include a dose of humor with the third installment of his horror-comedy series Roadside Killer. The move is a return to Ivan's roots and also has him partnering up again with his long-time filmmaking partner and co-director of the series. Parts one and two of this series were hits with fans and met with great success on the film festival circuit. Both films were featured at the Sacramento Horror Film Festival which invited the film makers as special guests in both 2007 and 2008 for Roadside Killer 1 and 2. The movies were also screened as part at Fangoria's Weekend of Horrors.

For the third installment, Ivan is dipping into the adult talent pool for some help. "In the first two Roadside Killer movies, we used people from the adult industry as actors and crew," said the director. "We are going to do that again for number three, but plan to expand on that by giving adult performer bigger roles while also using them behind the camera."

Ivan's background and experience in horror films goes back a number of years. He has a Bachelor's Degree in Cinematography and Motion Picture, has shot over a dozen Indy horror films and is re-entering a genre where he has received much critical acclaim. Fangoria magazine hailed his work as "inspiring future of horror filmmaking" and Rue Morgue magazine declared his work reminiscent of "Sam Raimi and Sam Peckinpah in terms of filmmaking and cinematography."

Roadside Killer is low-budget indie filmmaking at its finest so the search for talent in front of and behind the camera will be about experience and art without a big payday.

"We have to make these movies for next to nothing," added Ivan. "We can offer cast and crew experience and a whole lot of fun making a horror flick."
