Tightfit Open House Event Set

Tightfit Productions will host an industry-only studio open house and “old school” casting call at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday night at its new facility, 7641 Burnet St.

Company owner Oren Cohen explained that the event is meant to show industry members its new studio and production facilities, for prospective in-studio location shoots.

“I remember the old casting calls that Jim South used to do, circa 20 years ago…they would have all the talent and all the directors come to one space, and take pictures and look around…and there was a nice sense of industry camaraderie,” Cohen told AVN.com. “I thought that kind of event would be really beneficial to talent and directors.”

Cohen added that he was looking to organize something different than “a bunch of guys walking around from room to room…this will provide a sense of community.”

Tightfit’s new studio includes several standing sets, including kitchens, bedrooms, offices, dens and living rooms. It also features dressing rooms, a commissary, editing bays and office space.

“I’m very, very happy with [the new studio],” Cohen continued. “It’s large, well thought out, has lots of different angles and the sound is excellent.”

The event will also give talent a chance to have their photos taken for future casting calls, as the production company has hired a professional photographer for the evening to shoot stills.

“This is a great opportunity to find a new space, located centrally to everything and everyone,” Cohen added.

The event will also feature music spun by DJs along with free food and drinks.
