This Saturday artisans and vendors from across the country will bring their BDSM- and fetish-orientated ware to the 16th annual Bizarre Bazaar, a BDSM and fetish market thrown by Los Angeles-based non-profit BDSM educational and support organization Threshold.
The bazaar provides are rare opportunity for the local fetish and BDSM community to examine merchandise from boutique artisans from across the country. Attendees of the bazaar will be able to browse through specialized goods that go with the movement including bondage equipment, fetish attire, paddles, whips, dungeon furniture, fetish videos, latex, toys, leather, and more.
“It’s a great place for people new to the scene to find out what BDSM is all about as opposed to what they see in the movies,” a spokesperson for Threshold told AVN.com. “The bazaar is also a place for people who have been in the community for a while to pick up some new merchandise and have a good time.”
Greenery Press, Orpheus' Cirque De Sade, and Whiplash USA, will be presenting among vendors displaying their wares for the first time, along with return vendors such as Versatile Fashions, JT's Stockroom, Grand Opening, and fetish adult video producers Gwen Media.
Domina, fetish, and bondage models will attend the bazaar to sign autographs. Some of the notables expected to attend include Widow Centauri, Rubee Tuesday, Lena Ramone, and Dorothy Laine.
There will also be live demonstrations and programs throughout the day on such activities as wax play, flogging, rope bondage techniques, and shocking electrical play.
Lady Green will not only be signing her books and BDSM and alternative sexuality, she will also hold a special presentation at the Threshold club house the next day.
The Race of the Bondage Babes, an event held for the past two years, has been dropped from the bazaar’s schedule at the last minute without explanation. A spanking presentation conducted by Chelsea Pfeiffer has been added the bazaar’s schedule to replace the race.
The event is this Saturday, November 20, in the Nob Hill Banquet Hall, located at 8229 Van Nuys Blvd, Panorama City, Calif
Doors open at 11 a.m. and the event continues until 7 p.m. Admission is $10.
Event organizer Threshold will be holding an after party at their club house in North Hollywood on Saturday night.
