Stacy, Vicca and Nikita
CHATSWORTH. CA. - Stacy Valentine, Vicca and Nikita are leaving the VCA Pictures roster, while an announcement on the status of VCA's contract stars was, apparently, lifted whole from VCA's Web site and posted on a porn message site before VCA publicist and porn star Kylie Ireland had a chance to release it to the press in general.
The release was called "VCA Contracts" and posted on www.porngossip.com, which urges surfers to "Post your own goddamn lies... er, 'gossip.'" Ireland tells AVN On The Net she'd been unable to send the release around the adult press because of an e-mail crash, though she was able to post it on the studio's Web site.
"That's interesting," she said when told of the porngossip.com posting. "I wasn't even aware of that. Believe me, I wasn't looking to slight anyone."
Oh, yes - the news. Valentine has just wrapped her last VCA films, Cold Feet and Stupid Cupid, shot on Valentine's Day. VCA isn't certain whether Valentine is leaving porn entirely or simply looking for new directions, but the parting appears to have been amicable.
Likewise for "our two gorgeous, leggy Russians," Vicca and Nikita, whom the studio says only, will head in a different career direction, though there is speculation they may begin their own film line.
Meanwhile, rumors to the contrary, Juli Ashton will remain with VCA. The original VCA contract girl, she "has been with us for a long time, we love her, she is family, and she is welcome to stay contracted with VCA Pictures as long as she likes," says VCA owner Russ Hampshire. She recently cut a striking deal with the studio which gives her $25,000 per picture for VCA plus the leeway to do films for other companies - if they're willing to pay the same price.
Ireland, meanwhile, has re-signed an exclusive film contract with VCA as well as continuing as the studio's publicist. The new deal calls for three more pictures.
And what of VCA's two porn legend contract stars, Ginger Lynn and Marilyn Chambers?
They're both still in the family, Hampshire says - Lynn is about to wrap her third in a three-picture deal, New Wave Hookers 6, directed by Antonio Passolini and set for release later this year. And Chambers has just wrapped Dark Chambers, directed by Veronica Hart, the second in a three-picture deal for the Behind the Green Door legend whose comeback with VCA began with Still Insatiable. She'll shoot her third film under the deal later this year.
