Vic Thomas and T.J. direda have launched a new company, American Hardcore.
The premier releases, Ass Fuck and Prom Team, ship in mid-September. Both are in the anal and gangbang niche.
direda, Vertigo’s marketing director, sold his share of the company to Cabellero, owners of Blue Pictures and Fever Films.
“While Vertigo continues to do well, we felt it was time to create a company that quintessentially represents our ideas of porn, quality and style,” direda said.
Partners in the new venture are The Booya Tribe, a hip-hop unit described by direda as “giant Samoan gangsta types.” He said that they will “help brand the company in other markets, such as the upcoming Warped Tour, where they will be playing dates with The Transplants.”
According to direda, the new company’s number one priority is “quality control and hard-hitting sex — super high gloss and super hard sex. We have spent our energy in perfecting the look of the content, the box covers and the unique packaging.”
American Hardcore’s directors are Vertigo regular Martin Del Toro, who directed Prom Team, and newcomer Tommy Joe, who helmed Ass Fuck. “Martin has been quietly working on fine-tuning his and American Hardcore’s specific style while establishing himself as one of the most sex-inspired directors in the game,” direda said.
Releases set for October are Girls Suck and Double Gulp Pop.
