LOS ANGELES—Third Degree Films intends to capture the powerful twentysomething demographic with the announcement of numerous reality TV and coming-of-age parodies.
First to hit the streets is the Official Big Brother Parody, directed by Nate Liquor and starring Asa Akira, out Dec. 7.
“It was great opportunity for me to direct the adult version of Big Brother,” Liquor said. “It’s a popular and iconic show.”
Other parodies due out in 2011 in the reality TV realm include the Official Girls Next Door Parody, Official Beauty and the Geek Parody, Official Real Housewives of the OC Parody and more.
The company’s spoofs on popular feature films include the Official Revenge of the Nerds Parody, Official Clueless Parody, Official Risky Business Parody and Official Footloose Parody.
Third Degree Films was established in 2004 as a sister company to Zero Tolerance. ZT, along with another sister label, Black Ice, has found recent success with the parody genre.
