TheContentStore.com Acquires ’70s Classic, Vintage and Ethnic Gay Titles

TheContentStore.com has announced the acquisition of 48 rare, hard-to-find titles from GMI Films Historic Erotica line. Additionally, the site has added 14 ethnic gay titles from GMI’s Blatino Connection and East Harlem Productions lines. The new offerings now are an exclusive part of the TheContentStore’s inventory, previously unavailable elsewhere.

“I’m extremely happy with this new studio acquisition. With legendary names like John Holmes, Vanessa Del Rio, Seka, Annie Sprinkle, and Candy Samples, we’re tapping into a content niche that was formerly impossible for most webmasters to find elsewhere,” says TheContentStore.com owner Jonathan Silverstein. “Personally, I think there are so many men of the age to remember this type of content that every site should have a Classic/Vintage section to either appeal to those guys or keep them interested once they’ve already joined.” Silverstein says the new titles feature footage dating from the 1920s-1960s, transferred from archival print to give users an authentic viewing experience.

“Historic Erotica has been our core business for almost 20 years. We have literally over 100 years of film with the biggest stars from the classic era. I feel that working with TheContentStore.com is an excellent opportunity for exposure that we just couldn’t pass up,” says Dave Copeland, owner of GMI Films. Blatino Connection and East Harlem Productions, our ethnic gay lines, have sold very well in the brick-and-mortar world, so it’s only logical to see that success and popularity translate onto the Web.”

One-hundred and eighty new and exclusive DVD titles are slated to be released from TheContentStore.com within the next month.

“Our goal is to assist webmasters in garnering the highest retention levels possible by providing top-quality studios and content that cannot be found elsewhere,” says Silverstein. “This is also our way of differentiating our DVD-licensing company from other content providers and giving webmasters an edge in the highly competitive field of membership pay sites.”
