Ron Jeremy flies to Columbus, Ohio this weekend to host a Ron Jeremy lookalike contest. The event is being held at The Solid Gold Club. "Sadie Sexton and me are hosting it," Jeremy says. "It was being advertised in papers all over the Midwest - the Lee Network booked me for this. I'm doing that and a radio promotion for it as well. We're doing the lookalike contest Friday night and the next night we're doing a Ron Jeremy hot body contest. It's not my hot body, but sexy women are going to compete. I'll do my comedy shtick as usual."
Jeremy: "Next week from May 6 to 13 I'll be all over Canada for the biggest tour I've ever done. I'll be ending up in Toronto at the Whiskey on the 12th. These are not topless or nude clubs, but mainstream. I do a comedy show, host a wet T-shirt contest, banana eating contest or Raves. They wanted me to do a gig at a club in West Palm Beach called Peekaboo with Jeanna Fine and Christy Canyon. But because I'm going to be in Canada, they gave the job to Randy West. I'm not a really big fan of travelling, but the money's good.
"Then tonight I'm working on a movie with Julie Strain called Free Ride. I have a nice little part as a doorman. That's why I'm delaying my trip to Columbus. They wanted me to go early and be on a radio show in the morning, but I'll have to call that one in, instead.
"I also have a nice part in a Kid Rock video, American Bad Ass. I'm playing General Patton. You know that two-story American flag? They have me in a pimp suit and jewelry saluting the flag, and, then, at the end, I wink at the camera. That's when the video ends.
"Then MTV interviewed me and Tina Cheri behind the scenes of the video. She does topless mudwrestling and they fizzle out her boobs not to show them. They had that show three nights in-a-row. What's funny, here MTV is running, at the same time, this horrible, negative piece about the porn business where they feature Brooke Ashley. That's like trying to dissuade girls, 'don't you dare do this at home, you could die of drugs and HIV.' But it's so amusing that they're showing it back-to-back with Kid Rock behind the scenes where you got two porn stars doing quite well. It's pretty funny."
