The Partying Begins: Kick-Off at TAO Draws the A-List

Hundreds thronged outside TAO Nightclub on the second floor of the Venetian Hotel Wednesday evening to attempt entry into the first giant party of AEE, hosted by Wicked Pictures, Zero Tolerance Entertainment, New Sensations and Vivid Entertainment Group.

The huge turnout proved well warranted, too, as practically every major name in the adult business attended, gathered together in various VIP areas around the sprawling venue.

Most of the Wicked crowd, including contract girls Jessica Drake, Carmen Hart, Stormy Daniels, Julia Ann and Kirsten Price, assembled in an upper lounge, where the scene was more intimate and roomy than the rest of the party. Also relaxing there were director/performers Brad Armstrong, Randy Spears, Barrett Blade and Pat Myne; promoters Heth Mares, Mike Moz and Daniel Metcalf; starlets Alektra Blue, Demi Delia and Zero Tolerance’s Coutney Cummz; Playboy TV’s Derek Harvie; and Wicked president Steve Orenstein.

Meanwhile, on the lower level, scads more industryites darted around, some bouncing to the high voltage music thundering across the dance floor, others sipping cocktails on the sidelines. Spotted amongst that shoulder-to-shoulder crowd were Jenna Haze and Jules Jordan, Faith and Marcus Leon, Aurora Snow, Victoria Givens, Marie Luv, Kristal Summers, Sunny Lane, and AVN president and CEO (respectively) Paul Fishbein and Darren Roberts.

On opposite sides of the dance floor, in their own roped-off sections, were the respective stables of Vivid and ClubJenna. In the former area, Vivid Girls Savanna Samson, Stefani Morgan, Monique Alexander, Sunny Leone, Tera Patrick and Sunrise Adams were joined by fellow starlets Shy Love and Hustler Video’s Mya Luanna; male stars Evan Seinfeld, Erik Everhard and Jack Napier; producer Shylar Cobi and director Paul Thomas.

Repping ClubJenna were Chanel St. James, Sophia Rossi, Roxy Jezel, contract director DCypher and, of course, the Great One herself, Jenna Jameson, accompanied by boxing boyfriend Tito Ortiz.

At one point, Monique Alexander decided to take the dancing ledge above the main floor, throwing down wildly beside the house dancers (one of whom was pornstress Lyla Lei) to the roaring cheers of the partygoers below her.

Making a typical late entry was porn legend Ron Jeremy, who was followed shortly by rock legend Gene Simmons, the latter being followed himself by a camera crew as he sauntered up to the entrance and asked the bouncer sardonically, “Can I come in?”

It was a bash to be remembered, and one hopefully indicative of the spirit that will resonate through the many others lined up over the next three days of the world’s premier adult entertainment convention.
