The Great Spielberg Scam-o-la

One thing you can count on about the adult business. If it's going to happen nationally, good chance it's happened in this business first. Wednesday, Dr. Susan Block released a media story about the Block Institute's association five years ago with a young man who claiming to be Steven Spielberg's nephew, Jonathan Taylor Spielberg. Today, the Washington Post runs a homage to "Spielberg," the poster boy for the ultimate scam-o-la.

In what sounds like a spin on the old Ed Wood film Glen or Glenda, Taylor Spielberg wanted to make a film called "The Story of V," a supposed true tale of a young man who comes out as a lovely transvestite, starring its author, Jonathan Taylor Spielberg. According to Dr. Block, it was shot over the course of two months.

"Jonathan Taylor Spielberg was a personable fellow," Dr. Block writes, "and had us all pretty much persuaded that his Uncle Steven (through his estranged father's side) was the Great Filmmaker himself. Either that, we figured, or he was just another Hollywood actor."

According to Dr. Block, she was in the midst of editing 'The Story of V' when she received word of Jonathan (whose birth name is said to be Anoushirvan Fakhran) and his triple axle of arrests by Virginia police for "pretending to be a high school-aged nephew of Spielberg's."

Arrests and multiple identities aside, "The Story of V," will be available to the public on video and on the website drsusanblock.com soon after Valentine's Day, 2000.
