LOS ANGELES—The winners of the 2010 F.A.M.E. Awards were announced Saturday night at a star-studded ceremony co-hosted by Wicked Pictures contract performer/director jessica drake and SunLust Pictures owner/star Sunny Leone.
The A-listers were out in full force to walk the pink carpet as a cadre of photographers angled for a better shot at the bevy of beauties.
Spotted strutting their stuff on the carpet were Kayden Kross, Phoenix Marie, Alektra Blue, Kirsten Price, Teagan Presley, Cytherea, Isis Taylor, Breanne Benson, Brooke Belle, Chanel Preston, Lexi Belle, Jenna Haze, Lupe Fuentes, Tori Black, Alexis Texas, Taylor Vixen, Ashley Fires, Jayme Langford, Diana Doll, Jennifer Dark, Julia Ann, Kylie Ireland, India Summer, Angela Aspen, Angelina Armani, Gina Lynn, Sunny Lane, Krissy Lynn, Andy San Dimas, Adrenalynn, Tiffany Tyler, Prinzzess, Tara Lynn Foxx, Diamond Foxxx, Francesca Lé and more.
This fifth annual F.A.M.E. ceremony moved swiftly, with few lulls and little fanfare between award presentations. At the top of the show, a well-recieved bit was staged by Evan Stone and Dale DaBone, sporting their respective Riddler and Batman costumes from Vivid Entertainment's Batman XXX: A Porn Parody. Interrupting Sunny and jessica's opening banter, Stone announced that he was taking over the show, prompting them to call for assistance; cued by his familiar theme music, DaBatman strolled out and gave Stone a few "POW" socks, sending him tumbling down the stairway at stage front.
Breaking character, DaBone exclaimed, "That was the most dramatic fall in porno history, by Mr. Evan Stone, ladies and gentleman!" Appreciative applause ensued.
Chanel Preston pulled her second stint of the year as a trophy girl (her first was at April's XRCO Awards show), joined this time by redheaded starlet Dani Jensen. A few of the night's winners were not present to pick up their trophies—namely Sasha Grey, Lisa Ann and Jules Jordan—but at least in Lisa Ann's case (her win being for Favorite MILF/Cougar), she texted in an acceptance speech, which Lexi Lamour relayed for her to the audience: "Thank you to all the talent I licked, sucked and fucked in the last 12 months."
Jenna Haze accepted Jordan's Favorite Director prize on his behalf, and collected two of her own, for Favorite Anal Starlet and Dirtiest Girl in Porn—both repeat victories for the megastar. In each case, she delivered one of her signature über-quotable thank you addresses; for the former, she riffed, "You know I love taking it in the ass, and I'm gonna keep doing it harder, longer, deeper and dirtier!" And in receiving the latter, she echoed Belladonna's memorable line when she won the same award in 2007, saying, "I'm think I'm probably one of the cleanest dirty girls in porn, but I just like it kind of dirty!"
The most memorable quote of the night had to be presenter Kylie Ireland's remark after announcing Lupe Fuentes as the winner in the Favorite Female Rookie category. "She's a scale model of a real girl," Ireland cracked as Fuentes took the stage. Then following her speech—in which she threw out the ambiguous salutation, "Hi, Mr. Big Cock,"—jessica drake returned to the podium and quipped of her recently anointed contract sister, "She's snack size."
Nearly as cackle-worthy a sound bite, meanwhile, came moments later from Evan Stone, who appeared for about the third time in the full Riddler getup to accept the Favorite Male Star award. "You guys seriously still like me?" he puzzled rhetorically, continuing, "Well, I want to thank Jesus, who loves porn."
The ceremony closed with a presentation of trailers for two high-profile releases on the horizon: SunLust/Vivid's Gia: Portrait of a Porn Star and Wicked Pictures' Speed.
