The Case Of The Unwanted Chocolate Penis

The Sun lost the libel case springing from the Case of the Unwanted Chocolate Penis. A Welsh head teacher claimed the paper humiliated her deputy by making him present a chocolate penis to a retired female colleague. Joan Morris won undisclosed damages and legal costs against the tabloid, which agreed the allegations had no grounds and should not have seen print. The Sun reported the deputy's allegations that Morris had mounted a vicious campaign against him, not to mention allegations of "dozens of examples of this behavior" - including one that Morris tricked him into presenting the chocolate penis. Morris says the previous eighteen months awaiting the outcome of the case had been "very difficult," according to Reuters.

DETROIT - Police here want to know if HIV-infected Magic Johnson forced a 32-year-old massage therapist to submit to his kissing and fondling her against her will in a hotel room. Ann Bingamen claims the 40-year-old former NBA star put his tongue into her mouth and fondled her derriere after she gave him a three-hour massage in an Atheneum Hotel suite last September. APBNews says the St. Clair Shores woman has tested negative for HIV, but her attorney says the incident left her scarred psychologically. Spokesmen for Johnson did not return APBNews calls. He could face charges of criminal sexual misconduct, a misdemeanor carrying no jail time. A civil suit is expected. Johnson stunned the world by announcing he tested positive for HIV in 1991

LOS ANGELES - So far, there's no word on whether Darva Conger has accepted Internet Entertainment Group president Seth Warshavsky's offer of a million dollars to appear at Club Love in the nude. But it may not be likely, considering other reports saying the 34-year-old emergency room nurse has turned down millions to tell her story. Conger has also filed formally to annul her controversial Who Wants To Marry A Multimillionaire marriage to 42-year-old comedian Rick Rockwell, saying the wedding was a fraud and she was not aware of her husband's allegedly violent past. Meanwhile, Conger has taken another blow - she has been fired from her job at a Los Angeles hospital and, after reportedly turning down millions to tell her story, is contemplating a lawsuit against the hospital. Rockwell, for his part, tells Reuters he doesn't understand why Conger "would need to cite these 10- and 20-year-old accusations," saying she already said she wanted out after 36 hours. The uproar over the old allegations against Rockwell prompted cancellation of Who Wants To Marry A Multimillionaire. And ABC News says Rockwell is soliciting marriage offers talk-radio style on the World Wide Web site eYada.com and may have received replies from about 300 women - but he claims he's doing it in jest.
