The Attack of the Killer Dildo?

Call it the attack of the killer dildo. A jury here just might, since a surgeon took the witness stand in Joseph Geibel's trial holding the 18-inch rubber sex toy the prosecution claims caused Sherri Lynn Jett to bleed to death two years ago.

Not that the jury was entirely thrilled - published reports indicate some members were agitated at seeing the device when the surgeon took the stand.

The surgeon was Dr. Michael Hellinger, who testified he once extracted an object similar in size from a patient. "We actually had to open the patient's belly to extract (it)," he testified. "There was no injury" after the procedure. He also said it wasn't possible for Geibel to use the dildo on Jett without her consent, because of how anal muscles contract.

Closing arguments in the case were expected April 25.

Geibel faces first-degree murder charges in a case where Jett was said to have been drinking, drugging and having sex with Geibel. Her body was found in a parking lot just a short distance from where she and Geibel had last spent time together.

Geibel is accused of raping and killing Jett by pushing the dildo through her colon. The former maintenance worker insists the injury was an accident and had no knowledge the 39-year-old woman was dead until well after their sexual encounter.

It may have proved too much for Jett's mother. Reports indicate she excused herself abruptly from the trial April 24 just as the testimony turned to the last moments of her daughter's life.
