Event organizer Dick Manning promises that this year’s GVA-West open house will offer the same networking opportunities, the same porn star presence, and the same fun as their open houses in the past. The only thing that will change is the name of the occasion – it’s now known as the Adult Super Source Open House, reflecting the reorganization of GVA-West, Erotech, the magazine San Oak, and Profit-Pak under the corporate heading of Adult Super Source.
The Adult Super Source Open House will take place at the end of September to coincide with the Folsom Street Fair Weekend, the annual celebration of alternative lifestyles.
“This is our customer appreciation event," said Dick Manning, who is coordinating the event for the fifth straight year. "It’s our thank you to everyone we work with. Timing it to coincide with the Folsom Street Fair just makes it even better. This way, it’s more of an occasion for the people who travel to San Francisco to attend the event.”
Not that the Adult Super Source Open House won’t be entertaining itself. Besides the requisite photo opportunities presented by some of the top adult entertainers in the business, this year the event is titled “Carnival ‘03” and will include an “adult circus” theme. Reflecting that theme, the event will be held in what Manning describes as “the largest tent you’ve ever scene,” which is 190 feet long and 60 feet wide.
Carrying on the theme, there will be a number of circus traditions that will be given an adult twist – contortionists, black cotton candy, jugglers that juggle adult novelties rather than fire or chainsaws, clowns and more.
Twenty-five adult studios and 15 novelty companies will have booths at the open house.
The Adult Super Source Open House is an invite only occasion. Over 4,000 invitations have been sent out.
