Tera Patrick Signing at Electronic Entertainment Expo

While powerhouse hardware manufacturers like Nintendo and Sony drew crowds by unveiling their cutting-edge gaming platforms May 12 at the Electronic Entertainment Expo, software company Eidos Interactive relied on an old-fashioned method of generating buzz on the conference's show floor: Sex. Fans lined up hundreds deep to catch a glimpse and an autograph from adult industry superstar Tera Patrick.

Patrick, a former Penthouse pet and current Vivid Girl, was on hand at the annual meeting-of-the-tribes for the videogame industry to promote Eidos Interactive's Backyard Wrestling 2: There Goes the Neighborhood, a sequel to their popular wrestling title.

Patrick, who lends voice talent to the game as well as appearing as a playable character, said she was bowled over by the sheer number of people who waited patiently for her signature on an 8x10 glossy.

"It's fantastic," Tera said between autographs. "Being a character in a videogame is like being immortalized."

"It really looks like her too," added Patrick's boyfriend, musician/actor Evan Seinfeld. "And they made her probably the most badass character in the game."

Patrick will be signing autographs at Eidos' booth at the L.A. Convenction Center's South Hall today as well, beginning at 2 p.m.

Backyard Wrestling 2 is slated for a Fall 2004 release.
