Tera Patrick/ Julia Ann in Cannes

Digital Playground's Samantha Lewis, reporting from Amsterdam, says that contract girls Tera Patrick and Julia Ann got some great press mileage while at Cannes. "Tera won the Best New American Starlet award at Cannes and she had a very good following. I didn't realize how great it was going to be." At Cannes the girls met Beate Uhse. "Beate's an 80 year-old woman who's made some tremendous strides for everybody," says Lewis. "She's quite an amazing woman. We sat at the table with her during the Hot d'Or awards' ceremony and she was getting an honorary award. She's a tremendous woman, and she sat there very quiety and observed what was going on. She had a lot of tips to the girls whom she took a liking to. It was interesting." nnLewis: "Hot Video, in addition, did a great job with the entertainment and also had a press conference that was great. They had it out by the pool at the Royal Casino, and a lot of mainstream press was there. Tera did extensive interviews and some bits for MTV that were really good. When she won Best New Starlet, she was nervous and thanked everybody and Hot Video. She also welcomed Julia Ann aboard to Digital. nn"The day before the awards, Hot Video took Tera and Julia Ann to the main part of Cannes. We didn't know how we were going to get through because they had it all blocked off to any cars because of security for all the mainstream actors. But Hot Video arranged for a police escort. They rented an old, classic car, stuck the girls in it, with myself and the rest of the Hot Video crew in a van behind them. The girls got in the old antique car with the police surrounding them and were let through with all the sirens on. It was incredible. They had no idea who we were, but we parked in the center of the festivities next to the red carpet. Hundreds and hundreds of people just gathered around and we got some fabulous press shots. Then we drove a little further down and did the same thing getting some more really great press moments. nnOne of the biggest happenings during Cannes was Tera getting to go on France's version of the Tonight Show which has 15 million viewers. Tom Jones was on when we got there. Then they brought Tera out and interviewed her for about ten minutes. It was awesome. Then they wrote an article about her in the next day's paper.
