Playboy.com's "Geek Love" survey, asking which of TechTV's attractive techies viewers wanted most to see unwrapped in a nude pictorial, outdrew its famous "Sexiest Sportscaster" poll, with X-Play hostess Morgan Webb topping her fellow techies "by barely a pixel," Playboy.com said.
Over 150,000 votes registered over two weeks for the poll, according to Playboy.com. Tech TV senior marketing vice president Gaynor Strachan Chun said the results pleased the network.
"When you tap into a passion of your audience, you're going to spark their enthusiasm and start rallying the troops," he said. "We've been very pleased with the overall interest and the overall support of the women in the poll. "TechTV, like Playboy.com, skews male, young, and upscale. It was an obvious synergy."
Webb herself was pleased and surprised by the results. "It's been a lot of fun. It got a lot of attention and everyone's talking about it!" she told Playboy.com. "I'm so flattered. I know it's a really big honor."
Whether it's Webb or one of her TechTV associates - Melanie Kim, Sarah Lane, Cat Schwartz, or Laura Swisher - who will show it all, Playboy.com will not decide until the next several weeks.
