Teacher Fired After Showing Students Sex Video

School district officials have fired a school teacher after he was accused of showing an Internet sex video to students.

Limestone County school district officials voted 6-1 to dismiss Limestone High School science teacher Steve White for showing his eighth-grade class an animated video depicting a former president having sex with his wife and another video showing a girl exposing a breast, according to the Decatur Daily News.

A forensic auditor reviewed the images White allegedly showed to his class, along with e-mails he opened which also contained images that were seen by his students, but White’s lawyer Emmitt Jimmar said it was unclear what those images were.

After the meeting, White said he would appeal the decision. He will remain on paid leave until the appeal process is completed.

White, who is a Democratic candidate for state legislative race in his district, may be removed from the ballot pending an investigation by the state Democratic party, said a party spokesman.

The teacher had been on paid administrative leave since April after parents and students complained to school district officials about the animated video and for allegedly making students say “John Kerry Rocks,” before leaving the classroom.
