NEW YORK - Penthouse magazine has named Taya Parker Penthouse Pet of the Year for 2009.
The petite, 30-year-old brunette was chosen from among twelve Pet of the Month finalists by Penthouse readers, staff members and Penthouse.com subscribers. Her Pet of the Year pictorial is featured in the magazine's January 2009 issue, on stands Dec. 16.
"I am in awe of the company of beautiful women I am now in and the legacy that the Penthouse brand stands for," said Parker, an established feature dancer who appeared as the magazine's January 2008 Pet of the Month. "I am a small-town girl who couldn't imagine this moment happening to me in a million years! This honor will change my life forever; I feel like I have been blessed with a piece of immortality."
Porn actress Shawna Lenee was the runner-up in the competition. Lenee is up for AVN's Best Supporting Actress award for her role in Hustler Video's This Ain't the Munsters XXX.
Parker appeared as a guest judge on FUSE TV's "Redemption Song" and will be seen as one of the contestants vying for Bret Michaels' affection on VH1's "Rock of Love Bus," premiering Jan. 4.
