NORTHRIDGE, Calif.—Metro Movies and adult distribution company Cal-Vista in association with Cheeky Monkey Productions have moved the street date for The Flying Pink Pig to Feb. 8.
“Due to legal complexities and massive demand for this incredible movie, we have decided to move the release date back to February 8, in order to handle what has become one of our biggest titles in the history of Metro…very hot sex and a fun concept are a winning recipe,” said Rick Porras, Metro VP of Operations. “Metro is giving distributors a 100 percent sell through guarantee on this one!”
Upon the announcement of the initial release date, national media jumped on the story of the movie, directed by award-winning director Erica McLean (Alice) that also stars the world famous Ron Jeremy. The gourmet catering truck “The Flying Pink Pig” created international hysteria from places such as The Los Angeles Weekly, The Huffington Post, LA Ist, The Los Angeles Times, New York Magazine, Business Insider, Food and Drink, Gawker, Eater, Unrated Perez (Perez Hilton), and many others. The most recent news came from TMZ, which reported a cease-and-desist letter involving the “restaurant-on-wheels.” Friday, in response to the escalating controversy, McLean told the LA Weekly, “I think it's a misunderstanding. Actually, it's not a misunderstanding. I think he knew full well. There's a signed release and emails going back and forth.” She referred all other questions to her attorney.
