With Venus Girls most ambitious production, Women on Top - Vol 2, scheduled to start in less than two weeks, co-director Henri Pachard has re-assigned both himself and co-director Tall Goddess. Pachard said there were two reasons why Tall Goddess will be the series' sole director, while he focuses closer on the production duties.
"It only makes better sense," he said. "No company needs two strong directors handling the same series; it fucks things up more than helps - and Tall Goddess has a lot of talent. I can clear some paths for her by handling the producing end.
"The other reason is that while I still might carry a 'big name,' I'm definitely an old name. And I'd rather promote a new name than an old one in this game. But since I know both the old and new neighborhoods pretty well - and the players - I can still get shit done."
Shooting for Women on Top - Vol. 2 begins July 22.
