“Stephen and I collaborated on directing and writing the film,” says Tony D. “In Stepdaddy Daydreams, I play two characters, Frank and Tony D. The acting in the film is as important as the sex; the story makes the sex better, with buildup being the key element. There is a lot of effort and thought put into this film, and it will be the same for the others to come, from the team of Tony D and Steven Escolar.”
“Tony D came to me with this project, and said he wanted to do a movie about a stepfather who would go to sleep and have dreams of his stepdaughter,” says Escolar. “I love the themes of taboo in society and challenging the social norm. What is normal? How much of what we created as a society is really meant to be ‘natural’ and ‘right?’ I love asking these questions.”
Continues Escolar, “I can see other Stepdaddy Daydreams releases going into darker, weirder, serious, humorous, and more serious places. I’m very excited to see what we decide to do after this. Hopefully we will go further to try to shift the paradigm, and challenge people's minds, when it comes to the topic of sex, and what one is to expect from porn, especially when dealing with certain taboos.”
