TJ at End of Days

Runninghorse: "Dear Gene, In writing about your meeting TJ Hart at the End of Days premier party in Hollywood, you mentioned that 'She seemed very nice, intelligent and genuine, not the usual terms for a porn star, but they accurately describe TJ Hart ....'

"Uh, beg pardon? I think that 'nice, intelligent and genuine' accurately describes quite a number of women in the sex industry. If anything, I would argue that the nature of their work and the thanklessness of the conventional society makes them, as a matter of necessity, MORE intelligent; they survive in a sea of sharks. I've become acquainted with Nina Hartley, Solveig and Anna Amore over the past couple of years and I can say unequivocally, I have nothing but respect for their intelligence. Each of them have practical smarts and business smarts. In addition, they have higher awareness of sexuality which is an extremely important aspect of overall intelligence. I have met smart people and bumbling idiots in virtually every niche of society and the sex industry has its share of them. However, from what I have seen of this industry, I find an incredible amount of intelligence among these women.

"Another thing that the sex industry stimulates in such high proportions is a sense of business and self-employment and a growing number are blazing many new trails in many directions in this industry.

"One last bone I have to pick, not with you necessarily, but with the popular notion that intelligence always seem to come into question with women who are stunningly beautiful. No ones seems to care whether the ugly woman is intelligent or dumb as doornail. The simple fact that a pretty woman is perpetually hit on by men is a constant mental stimulation in dealing with it all.

"Take a look at all of society and there is a sense of disingenuity, however, I find that women in the sex industry will cut to the chase with less bullshit . These are some of the reasons I love the goddesses of the sex industry."

Gene sez: "I hate to put a dent in any of your arguments, but I didn't make any comments about TJ Hart. I merely ran an email from someone who met her at the premier. Guess you missed that part."
