THROB Offering Mobile Marketing Solutions

Strategic marketing and advertising agency THROB announced the creation of THROB Mobile Solutions, designed to provide clients with the "marketing savvy and technological know-how to develop successful mobile marketing campaigns."

Due, THROB said, to its exclusive relationship with a mobile products and services provider, THROB is the first marketing and advertising agency to provide this service to the adult industry.

The service will officially launch at this year’s Internext Expo in Hollywood, Florida.

“Mobile marketing enables companies to communicate with their customers directly and instantaneously, and its potential is virtually unlimited,” said THROB president Katie Smith. “We want to help our clients get the most from this new technology.”

Smith said that many industry experts anticipate a significant rise in SMS usage, and therefore profits, in the near future. Already, the mobile market is valued at $8 billion annually; the $2 billion ring-tone segment is expected to double over the next four years.

THROB will assist companies in building a list of their customers’ mobile phone numbers and develop creative and interactive promotions to compliment their overall marketing strategy.

“For many companies, mobile marketing has delivered better results and a greater ROI than more traditional forms of advertising,” Smith noted, pointing to role that mobile marketing has played in the success of the show American Idol, in which millions of fans used their mobile phones to vote. MTV took notice, and recently signed $75 million marketing and distribution deal with Motorola.
