A basketball referee has been arrested after he tried making a secret videotape of high school basketball players showering after a game he officiated.
Authorities tell APBNews.com 31-year-old Christian Stasenka of Lincoln faces misdemeanor charges and is free after posting ten percent of $500 bail.
He's accused of carrying a duffel bag containing a video camera into the boys' locker room after a basketball game at Waverly High School and aiming it at the shower area - which got the players' attention.
The next day, APBNews says, police set up surveillance at another high school where he officiated, collected enough evidence to charge him, and arrested him.
It's not known what Stasenka had in mind for the tape, but authorities are probing whether he planned to distribute it over the World Wide Web.
Since the victims were not under 18, he couldn't be charged with more severe charges, but he faces up to three months in prison and a $500 fine if convicted on the misdemeanor unlawful intrusion charge. Police say he has no known record as a sex offender of any kind.
