T3Report: New ‘Lite’ Version Costs Less, Still Satisfies

Cydata Services Inc. has released a new version of T3Report, the innovative traffic and linking analysis product, designed to allow webmasters to taste the product’s usefulness without paying full-tilt.

Called T3Lite, the new product is offered for $149 per year, a savings of $200 annually off the price of its big brother. Despite the lower price, T3Lite offers clients the same data as T3Report, with the exception that linking relationships for widely linked-to second- and third-tier sites are truncated.

“We’ve had a lot of good response from webmasters, but for some people price is an issue,” said Cydata CEO Brandon Shalton. “This gives people a chance to order one report and analyze it. At that point, they understand exactly what it is, they see the value in it, and they usually come back to order a full report.”

That’s not to say the Lite version of the product is less than full-featured. The only thing omitted from the Lite reports is lists of downstream traffic sources for any sites that link to the subject of the report when those sites have more than 500 downstream traffic sources. “There’s still a tremendous amount of information on the Lite report,” Shalton said.

A T3Lite report can be upgraded to a full report by paying the difference in price. “Many webmasters may not need to upgrade to the full report, since the types of sites that would be excluded would be large TGPs or other large web sites with more than 500 domains linking to them. T3Lite can be upgraded at any time to the full report by paying an additional $200 and the client will get to see the rest of the data.”

Some uses for the reports suggested to Shalton by current subscribers include maximizing existing relationships by identifying affiliates who could send more traffic and encouraging them to do so, and contacting affiliates of a competitor in order to promote a new pay site in the same niche.

“T3Lite and T3Report are tools to help webmasters maximize existing linking relationships or to find new sources of traffic,” Shalton said. “The information provided in the report helps to answer the common question of ‘where’s the traffic?’”
