Swingers Sue Over Net Access

The owner of the Green Door, a swingers club here, has sued to keep offering Internet access at his club.

Joseph Cavaretta told reporters he got two summonses from the Clark County Business License Department in February, accusing him of running an unlicensed adult theater, because he was able to access adult material on a club computer.

A Green Door attorney told Las Vegas NBC that this case has big implications because it looks as though the government is trying to regulate what people can or can't see online.

Green Door customers over 18 can pay fees to use computers at the club, KVBC-TV reported, and the Green Door suit claims those computers are in telephone booth-like cubicles and therefore private.
