Survey: A Quarter of All Married People Too Tired for Sex

WASHINGTON, D.C.—The National Sleep Foundation (NSF), a nonprofit that works to improve public health and safety by studying sleep and sleep disorders, has conducted a survey to assess the differing sleep habits among ethnic groups. In the process, they found that about a quarter of all people who are married or living with someone are so sleep-deprived that it is interfering with their sex lives.

Among married people or couples living together, all ethnic groups report being too tired for sex frequently (21-26 percent of the time).

"As the leading voice of sleep health, we are committed to better understanding people's sleep needs," says David Cloud, CEO of the National Sleep Foundation. "By exploring ethnic and family sleep practices we have gained new insight into why we sleep the way we do."

While not speculated upon in the survey, fallout from the rise in sex deprivation due to lack of sleep could include more time spent watching porn. Could it not also be that some partners blame the porn when it could just be a less time-consuming and energy-draining way to take care of business? In other words, maybe porn actually would serve a very useful purpose in situations like this, as long as any partner who is left out of the equation doesn't take it as personally.
