Sunshine Films in a Lather Over Rumored Kris Kramski/Seymore Butts SexHibition Deal

Reliable sources say there's a pending distribution deal between Seymore Butts and director Kris Kramski that could possibly put Kramski's "SexHibition" series in the Seymore Butts camp. If so, Sunshine Films, which has distributed SexHibition 1,2 & 3 is ready to go to war over it with attorneys. Then, again, Kramski may have other ideas about that.

Kramski said there was a "possible" deal with Butts. Kramski, in fact, was trying to get a hold of Butts but said his laptop computer had been stolen at LAX and that he didn't have Butts' number. Kramski also said there's a deal on the table involving his 35mm film, Porno-Vision, which he produced independently.

Kramski: "It's a very interesting film. I've been talking to some people including Seymore. I think he's a brilliant guy. If we can do anything together, I'd be very happy. We're talking about it right now."

On the other hand, Kramski says he has the official "SexHibition" U.S. and international copyright registration and that he has been "very diplomatic" with Sunshine over the last couple of years.

Kramski: "They [Sunshine] kept using the name and the distinctive graphic elements, but my attorney tells me we're going to bring the matter to justice. I created SexHibition 1, 2 & 3. When I moved to Sin City, Sunshine Films created a cheap-o, little quickie movie. They released it under the name SexHibition 4." Kramski said the real SexHibition 4 was a feature that later turned out to be titled Klimaxx..

Kramski: "Sunshine Films in an unlawful manner appropriated the name 'SexHibition' and the distinctive graphic elements. They have, in my opinion, corrupted and spoiled the line. I don't know if I will re-use this name because of what Sunshine did to it."

Kramski says he also trademarked the "Porno-Vision" line and expects it to be very big in America. Kramski says he's also been talking to Sin City about a distribution deal aside from Seymore Butts.

Butts, however, seems a bit perplexed at the notions of any kind of a deal with Kramski. Butts, who has some past issues with Sunshine that have yet to be resolved, said all of the Kramski gossip is complete news to him.

Butts: "I Kramski is real name? I don't even know Kris Kramski. I've never met him. I've heard of him. I've discussed many deals with many different people. He's not one of them."
