Sunset Thomas was featured in “The Rumble: An Off-The-Ball Look at Your Favorite Sports Celebrities” section of the New York Post on Sunday.
The Post covered Thomas’ search to manage a prizefighter. The starlet has enlisted the promotional skills of her good friend, Dino Duva of Duva Boxing.
George Willis, sports columnist for the Post, got the story from Thomas while both were attending the recent Samuel Peter/James Toney heavyweight bout in Los Angeles. Peter is promoted by Duva Boxing. Thomas said that she has long been a boxing fan (she appeared in the ring with Peter wearing his NABF title belt on ESPN some months back).
Thomas said she envisions a global search for just the right fighter, “one with skills, class and pizzazz.”
The starlet went on to say that there are already rumbles regarding a reality show based on the search and eventual winner.
“I foresee the show as a cross between HBO’s ‘Cathouse’ and [ESPN’s] ‘The Contender,'” she said.
