Sunset Thomas, star of VCA's Misty Beethoven: The Musical, will meet her fans and sign copies of the movie tonight at the Virgin Megastore on Sunset Strip in West Hollywood.
The "Sunset on Sunset" promotional event will begin at 7 p.m. at the store, located on Sunset and Crescent Heights.
Peter Reynolds, VCA's vice-president of sales and marketing, told AVN.com that ads for the musical remake of the '70s porn classic have been running all week on alternative rock station Indie 103.1, a Clear Channel property.
"I think that's a pretty big coup," he said, "that VCA is advertising an adult product on a Clear Channel station."
The movie is also reviewed in this week's edition of the mainstream publication The Village Voice.
Misty Beethoven: The Musical has been in stores since June 1. A soundtrack CD will be released separately July 17 on the Reality Entertainment label, distributed by Caroline Distribution.
