HOLLYWOOD, Fla.—Vivid Girl and SunLust Pictures owner Sunny Leone celebrates her recent lavishing with multiple AVN Award nominations New Year's Eve at Opium nightclub in Hollywood, Fla., where she will be joined by Vivid sisters AJ Bailey and Monique Alexander.
Leone was nominated for two All-Girl scenes, one with reigning AVN Female Performer of the Year Jenna Haze (Best All-Girl Couples Scene) and the other with Alexander, Alexis Texas and Alyssa Reese (Best All-Girl Group Scene), both from the SunLust/Vivid release Sunny's Slumber Party. In addition, SunLust was nominated for Best New Video Production Company.
"We are very pleased with the three AVN Award nominations," said Leone. "To have SunLust selected as one of the top new production companies is a great honor. Everyone worked very hard on Sunny's Slumber Party and to receive two nominations for the girl/girl scenes is very gratifying. I worked especially hard on those. It's a tough job, but someone has to do it."
On top of these achivements in her adult career, Leone also recently saw some advancement on the mainstream side with the release of her Bollywood film Pirate's Blood at the Dubai Film Festival.
"Success in Bollywood means a great deal to me," she said. "For someone of Indian descent, starring in a Bollywood film is a really big deal and I couldn't be happier."
Following the New Year's Eve celebration in Florida, Leone will next be seen at the AVN Adult Entertainment Expo in Las Vegas Jan. 7-10. She will be signing at the Vivid booth all four days of the convention and hosting parties each night. She will remain in Vegas for Internext, as well, taking place Jan. 11-13.
"2009 was an amazing year for me," said Leone. "But 2010 is going to blow this year away for sure."
