Sundance Publicist Named TLA Press Liaison

Lewis Tice, a publicist with the Sundance Film Festival who has also been the publicity director for the Chicago International Film Festival, has been named the national press liaison for TLA Entertainment Group, who said they needed someone with that kind of thrust to help the company reach further into the national view.

"Because of the growth of TLA Entertainment Group and especially TLA Releasing, we realized we needed someone to focus specifically on the national media," TLA President Raymond Murray said in a statement. "Lewis has precisely the expertise that we wanted, and we look forward to having him navigate our national presence on a publicity and marketing level."

Tice's prime focus will be TLA Releasing, a film distribution division looking to bring gay and lesbian, international, and independent films to the theatrical and home markets, TLA said.

Tice joins TLA following three years on the Sundance publicity staff. He's made himself a familiar film festival circuit presence whose resume includes the IFP/Los Angeles Film Festival, the San Francisco International Lesbian and Gay Film Festival, and the National Queer Arts Festival, also in San Francisco. division dedicated to bringing gay/lesbian, international and independent films to the theatrical and home entertainment markets.

Some of his immediate projects will include TLA's new International Film Festival Collection, a DVD/WHS series of new works launching April 29; and, managing publicity and marketing for a pair of prize-winning new films, The Trip, a gay romantic drama, and KM.0, a Spanish romantic comedy. The former opens in New York May 9; the latter, during the summer.
