Stuntgirl Vol. 2 Wraps Production

With a tremendous stir currently rumbling throughout the adult industry over his just-out debut feature Stuntgirl, New York-based director Jack the Zipper is already closing out production on his follow-up effort, Stuntgirl Vol. 2: The Johns.

Final shooting on The Johns — to be released by late October through Zipper’s production company, Clockwork Productions — is slated for today, Zipper told AVN.com via phone from Portland, where over the past week and a half he has filmed what will represent about fifty percent of the production.

“The movie took a different turn when we came to Portland,” said Zipper, contrasting the location with Los Angeles and New York, where he shot additional Johns footage. “I didn’t know what to expect up here. This is just one of the strangest towns I’ve ever been in. This town has more strip clubs and adult stores and sex shops per square mile than I’ve ever seen before. And you stuff that all into a city that’s kind of untouched by what goes on in the rest of the country, and you have this just unique place.”

Zipper said he was inspired to shoot in Portland because it’s the hometown of Kimberly Kane, who also appeared in the first Stuntgirl, and whose personal biography serves as a loose basis for The Johns.

“Once we started talking about it,” Zipper explained, “I realized that it’s the perfect storyline — if you can call it a storyline, ‘cause I’m telling it in pictures — but the perfect storyline for Stuntgirl 2 would be, like, Kimberly’s passage from Portland, Oregon to Hollywood.”

Zipper said the final cut of Stuntgirl 2 — whose cast also includes Cytherea, Jayna Oso, Katrina Kraven, Dee, Mika Tan, Jassie and Alec Knight — will have seven core scenes interlaced amongst each other, including one he was allowed to shoot in a Portland junkyard.

“These guys own a huge auto graveyard, and they just went about their business all day while we were shooting fuck scenes in the middle of the place,” Zipper enthused. “It was just too cool.”
