Straight male porn stars Julian, Voodoo, Kurt Lockwood, and five of their woodsmen colleagues star in a new solo video just released by gay company Rascal Video. Titled Str8 Shots, the Chi Chi LaRue-directed video is being marketed to men and women.
Though this is not the first such video, it is still extremely rare for straight-porn stars to participate in movies aimed at a primarily gay audience. "It was difficult to get these guys to be in the movie," LaRue told AVN. "Several that I asked, flat out refused." Even though it's just solo masturbation? "Some of them had been burned before, "LaRue explained, "by companies that inserted their solo footage into gay movies to make it look as if they were actually appearing in those movies. I hope when they see how this is handled, the others will come around and be in the next one."

LaRue, who also directs straight porn, ascribes his casting success to having worked with most of these men in straight porn movies. Porn star Nicole Sheridan hosts the video, introducing each of the eight segments. She is married to one of the performers, Voodoo. In fact, Str8 Shots is something of a family affair—Voodoo's brother, Franco Del Toro, is one of the meat-beaters.
Also in the cast are Peter Shaft, Mario Rossi, Pascal St. James, and newcomer Rick Pirelles.
Putting Julian on the cover will guarantee sales to gay audiences who remember his solo work as Jordan Rivers in a handful of videos in 1997-8.
