PHILADELPHIA - Digital Playground contract girl Stoya is the subject of an in-depth cover story in the Philadelphia City Paper.
The arts and entertainment weekly identifies Stoya as a current "it girl" of the adult industry. The paper met up with the 21-year-old performer at the Exxxotica New York convention held this fall in Edison, N.J., where she was signing alongside another X-rated "it" girl of the moment, Sasha Grey.
The article recalls the mainstream press Grey has received, noting Stoya's strikingly young look and her reputation as a porn star who is "literate and relatively intellectual and magnetic, and able to keep actual readers of porn-related material interested in her various blog posts on MySpace and XCritic and wherever else she decides to write."
Stoya spoke to the City Paper about a range of topics, including relationships, diseases, the industry, her parents, being a celebrity, and feminism.
